The official website for the anime Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san by Sōichirō Yamamoto revealed the first promotional video for the second season of the anime. The video confirms more staff members and its premiere is scheduled for next July.

Hiroaki Akagi will return to direct the second season at the Shinei Animation studio. Shin'ya Une is an assistant director. Kanichi Katou (Black Clover, Idol Time PriPara), Aki Itami (Aku no Hana, Mangaka-san to Assistant-san), and Hiroko Fukuda (Amanchu! Advance, Uchi no Oochopus) are the new writers. Aya Takano will return to the design of the characters in the company of the secondary character designers Takuji Mogi and Natsuko Kondou. Mogi and Kondou will resume the roles of director of animation; Join this season Takehiro Suwa and Takano. Hiroaki Tsutsumi will be in charge of the musical composition.
Rie Takahashi and Yuuki Kaji, the voices of the main characters Takagi-san and Nishikata, respectively, confirmed that they will return for this second season.
The manga is written and drawn by Souichirou Yamamoto, who launched the manga in 2013 at Gessan Mini of the publishing company Shogakukan, in 2016 he moved to Gessan magazine.
The first season premiered within the programming block "Anime no Me" in January 2018, and also adapted the manga Ashita wa Doyoubi as segments within the program. Crunchyroll aired the anime while it aired in Japan.
The Shogakukan publishing house published the ninth volume of books compiled from the manga in July 2018, an OVA that adapted the manga chapter "Water Slide". The tenth volume of the manga was launched on February 12. As of that month of last year, the series has more than 4 million copies in digital sales and in printed copies.
