The Sanrio Danshi anime will premiere in winter 2018

The official website of the anime that will adapt Sanrio Danshi project of Sanrio has opened and revealed a first promotional image and that the series will be released in winter of 2018.

The cast announced at the moment is:

Takuya Eguchi as Kota Hasegawa, fan of Pom Pom Purin
Soma Saito as Yu Mizuno, fan of My Melody
Jun Oosuka as Shunsuke Yoshino, fan of Hello Kitty
Hiroyuki Kagura as Ryo Nishimiya, fan of Little Twin Stars
Yuma Uchida as Seiichiro Minamoto, a fan of Cinnamoroll
The project is starring Kota Hasegawa, a high school boy who loves Pom Pom Purin's dog from Sanrio. By chance he ends up meeting Yu Mizuno at his school, another boy who is a fan of a Sanrio pet, in this case My Melody rabbit. Yu tells Kota that he does not have to be ashamed to like Sanrio's monkey characters. Together, the characters will accept their love for Sanrio's mascots and embrace their fondness instead of hiding it out of shame.

The project was launched in January last year, launching in April a line of merchandising and drawing Mai Ando two different sleeves, one in the application MangaOne and another in the magazine ShoComi.
