The Japanese chain Metele will close its block of Sunday anime after 40 years

From the Nagoya TV channel (Metele) they have announced that they will close their block of Sunday anime next September, replacing it with a new block of news from October.

The block has been in operation for 40 years, although in 1998 it changed its schedule to Saturday afternoon. The first series that was emitted in him was Muteki Chojin Zambot 3 in 1977, which was the first anime produced entirely by Sunrise. The original Mobile Suit Gundam was the third title of the block and given its success with models and figures, since then the block has hosted many series associated with lines of toys like Dinosaur King or Battle Spiritis.


Among his latest releases are Heybot !, Kirakira Precure a la Mode and the actual Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger and Kamen Rider Ex-Aid series. Kamen Rider Build plans to take the place of Ex-Aid next September 3, while Heybot! has Metele on its production committee
