Reveal image and promotional video for Violet Evergarden movie

The official website of the anime movie Violet Evergarden revealed a video and a promotional image for the film. The film will be released on January 10, 2020.
The story Violet Evergarden Gaiden will be screened in Japanese theaters for two weeks: from September 6 to September 19.

Staff
The Kyoto Animation studio (Koe no Katachi, Hibike! Euphonium, Full Metal Panic!) Is in charge of animation with the direction of Taichi Ishidate (Kyoukai no Kanata). Yota Tsuruoka is the sound director, with Evan Call as a composer. 
The series premiered on January 10, 2018, having a total of 13 episodes and a special video. Netflix broadcast the series simultaneously episodes dubbed and subtitled in several countries.

The novels Violet Evergarden, written by Kana Akatsuki and illustrated by Akiko Takase, had a total of two volumes that were published in December 2015 and December 2016. On March 23 a novel was published, with a parallel story to the original , entitled Violet Evergarden Gaiden.

Synopsis
There are words that Violet heard on the battlefield and that she can not forget. These words were given to her by someone she appreciates more than anyone else. She does not know its meaning yet. A certain point in time, on the continent of Telesis. The great war that divided the continent in North and South is over after four years, and people are welcoming a new generation.
Violet Evergarden, a young woman previously known as "the gun", has left the battlefield to start a new life in the CH Postal Service. There, she is deeply moved by the work of "Auto Memories Dolls", who transmit people's thoughts and turn them into words.
Violet begins her journey as an Auto Memories Doll, and comes face to face with the emotions of people and different forms of love. All the time looking for the meaning of those words.
