Reveal video and promotional image for OVA Toji no Miko: Kizamishi Issen no Tomoshibi

The official website for the OVA of the smartphone game Toji no Miko: Kizamishi Issen no Tomoshibi released the first promotional video. The video announces the anime staff, also revealed that it will be an OVA divided into two parts and will be released this year.

The site also revealed a new promotional image.

Staff and Cast
Tomohiro Kamitani is in charge of the leadership of the OVA at Project No.9 studios. Aoi Akashiro is responsible for the composition of the series. Daisuke Niitsuma is doing the character designs based on the original designs by Yoshinori Shizuma.

Returning cast members from the game (and from the Mini Toji series of shorts) include:

Kaori Ishihara como Chie Setouchi.
Hiromi Igarashi como Kofuki Shichinosato.
Akane Fujita como Kiyoka Musumi.
Manami Numakura como Miruya Kitora.

Studio Gokumi's Toji no Miko anime premiered in January 2018, totaling 24 episodes. Crunchyroll aired the series as it aired in Japan. The franchise also inspired the Mini Toji anime shorts, which premiered in January 2019. Crunchyroll also aired this anime. The Toji no Miko: Kizamishi Issen no Tomoshibi smartphone game released for iOS and Android devices in Japan in March 2018.

Sakae Saitō released a manga adaptation in Kadokawa's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine in October 2017 and finalized it in March 2019.


Synopsis
Since ancient times, the shrine maidens, through their Okatana, get rid of the grotesque creatures known as "Aradama" that threaten the human world. These girls, who wear uniforms and carry swords, are called "Touji".

The girls are, for the most part, young students who perform surveillance tasks while studying at one of five education and training schools across Japan. In spring, all the Toji of Japan gather and a tournament is held that faces different abilities.
