Toei and Toei Animation announced that the premiere of the movie Majo Minarai wo Sagashite scheduled for May 15 will be postponed due to production issues.
Toei aims to release the film later this year, and will announce the new release date through his official media as soon as it is decided.
 The film commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Ojamajo Doremi franchise. The first series of the Ojamajo Doremi franchise premiered in Japan in 1999, around 2005 the series was broadcast in America with multiple changes, under the title Magical DoReMi.

Junichi Sato (Sailor Moon, Aria), director of the original series, is in charge of directing the film in conjunction with Yu Kamatani (Precure saga) at the Toei Animation studios.
Midori Kuriyama (Lovely Complex) and Yoshihiko Umakoshi return from the original series to write the scripts and design the characters, respectively.
Yoshihiko Umakoshi is also in charge of animation direction.
Shouko Nakamura serves as chief entertainer with the production of Hiromi Seki.

Synopsis
The story follows a 27-year-old office worker named Mire Yoshitsuki who lives in Tokyo, and who returned to Japan not long ago; 22-year-old high school student Sora Nagase who aspires to be a teacher; and 20-year-old part-time worker Reika Kawatani.

What could bring these three so different women together? A mysterious gem ... A new magical story begins!
