Studio Ghibli ha animado un tercer anuncio para la compañía Marubeni Power en el que se ha inspirado por los conocidos Choju-Jinbutsu-Giga Emaki de Japón. El anuncio se ha estrenado esta semana en la televisión japonesa.
The announcement promotes Plan G, a new electric plan that the company offers to Japanese households after the liberalization of the country's energy market. This name derives from "Ghibli" and "green", and promises to be a sustainable energy plan that will support the "Fuchi no Mori" forest conservation fund, also known as "The Forest of Totoro", to provide energy to the Ghibli Museum And promote the preservation of the environment in general. The co-founder of Studio Ghibli Hayao Miyazaki and other members of the study are ironically detractors of nuclear power, especially after the disaster following the Great Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011 and caused problems at the Fukushima plant .
Katsuya Kondo, character designer and animation director on 'Nicky the Witch's Apprentice' and 'Ponyo on the Cliff', has been in charge again of this announcement. The famous pianist Nobuyuki Tsuji has created the soundtrack of the announcement, and the voice that names the company at the end of the announcement is that of Toshio Suzuki himself, producer of Studio Ghibli and who has confirmed that the studio works on two more ads for the bell. The final sentence of the announcement reads: "There is a Japan that I want to bequeath to future generations."
The scrolls that have inspired the advertisement are national treasures that are preserved in Kyoto's Kozan-ji Temple, and are well known to children across the country because of their extensive appearance in the texts of history. Parchments represent by anthropomorphic animals how life was eight centuries ago, before the Heian and Kamakura eras. Many experts have debated whether these scrolls or those of Shigisan Engi Emaki, deserve to bear the title of "first manga in history."
