The official anime website revealed that the anime adaptation of Seiji Hayashi's manga, Jimoto ga Japan, will be released on April 8th through the Oha-Suta program, the episodes will be premiered every Monday within the segment of the program called "Kyara Your TA". Additionally, the 18th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed that Akira Kushida will interpret the closing theme for the anime.

Isamu Ueno (PRECARIOUS WOMAN EXECUTIVE MISS BLACK GENERAL) is directing the anime at the ODDJOB studios.
Masato Naruse and Kōji Hashimoto are in charge of the composition of the series.
Hana Nohara and Fumiyuki Uehara are in charge of character design.
Cast
Minami Takayama as the protagonist Japan Hinomoto.
Kōtarō Nishiyama as Tokyo Abiko, a student who moved from the Yamagata school to the Tokyo school
Wataru Hatano as Hide, who is always worried about his native land in Saitama.
Tesshō Genda as Masurao Kikuchi, a boy from the Setagaya neighborhood of the city of Tokyo, and the protagonist's rival.
Queen Ueda as Komachi Yuze, the heroine who cares about Japan.
Shueisha publishes the manga in its MANGA Plus application in English. Shueisha describes the story:
Tokyo Abiko has left her hometown in Yamagata prefecture to enter a school in the great metropolis of Tokyo. On his first day, he meets one of his classmates, a strange boy named Japana Hinomoto. Tokyo soon realizes that Japan is the master of a peculiar martial art, the Todofu-ken.
