OPINION CHAPTER 14
Ambition, is the fervent desire to obtain what you have wanted so much, for what you struggle day by day and for what imprisons our so utopian happiness. That could be ambition, either for our own good or for a common good, an intense request that lodges in our heads and that becomes vehemently to achieve what is difficult to achieve, especially wealth ... For greed for that which we would make others superior and would give us the infinite possibilities to satisfy the insatiable appetite of all our ambitions, it is a dreamed climax. The example of this is presented to us by Dororo's parents, because his ambition for equity, justice, equality and revolution are an internal struggle against the desire to provide welfare and always the best, his little blessing. It is more than clear the meaning of that tattoo that is on the back of Dororo, the mission that was imposed at the time of tattooing and the burden that must carry our little one, because the ambition of his father must be fulfilled, or that was what that his young mother expressed to him shortly before passing away. Now his way to plotting a new route, one that he may pursue after recovering the missing parts of Hyakkimaru, that although it is a personal mission, Dororo has appropriated this equally. But will Dororo's heart resist so much wealth? Will he fulfill his father's wish? Or simply fill your stomach and your own ambitions, to get your well-deserved happiness.
These questions are not only for the carrier of the map, but for his companion, because both have ambitions and Hyakkimaru is the one that has more strength, not for revenge in itself, but to recover what was taken away and that Right must be returned, even if it means ending the land of Daigo and his empire, passing over his young brother, his mother and his greedy father. Now Dororo must think and decide what to do after his walking brother regains his body ... Can that request be fulfilled? And more important, will they resist and not give in to the greed of money?
The destination is uncertain, doubts grow and restlessness lodges in the mind and although the answers will be few or nonexistent, the path continues and with it new encounters ... perhaps something terrifying. A pair of spirits, perhaps Yokais or guardians of those lands, appear before our young couple, with a strange request and with even more strange actions, since one of them seems to be a baby with a weak bladder?
The mysteries and terror continue to appear in front of Dororo and Hyakkimaru, now before them comes a strange man named Sabame, who although his soul color is white, a red aura of evil borders it and his presence leaves that baby Ayakashi who bothered Dororo, but the disturbing thing is not the aura that surrounds him, but his strange face, which has no faction (I guess it will be a type of Ayakashi, one that does not need to blink). Putting aside its rarity, the strange subject offers shelter and food to Dororo and Hyakkimaru, with the spirit of "protecting" them and receiving in return, the narration of their stories
Ambition comes in many forms, some of them do not have a clear explanation of why they arise and turn into such a dark desire, like the one that that nun had in the story of Sabame, a story of a woman who should do good and instead, he took small children into his possession and made them work to extreme exhaustion and to maintain discipline, instilled terror. She would beat them if they did not fulfill their requests, and when those little ones grew a little more, she simply sold them as second-hand items. But all bad ambition has a final crude and if that story of Sabame about the burned temple is true, we can say that justice was done, under cruel action.
The thoughts resonate strongly in our minds, if they should be applied with an act that may be selfish, and for someone like Dororo who has had to grow up alone and carry the pain of war, abandonment and cruelty short age, it is difficult for him to make a correct decision with that map that supports the ambition of his parents and his only mission granted, that if he fulfills it well, it could help many ... but whatever the decision that our little one takes, Hyakkimaru does not It is a clear vision in this new mission. The options grow and Biwa Hoshi senses what the near future will bring.
A pleasant rest is broken by a caterpillar Ayakashi, which in the end was saved by a giant moth, which is actually a great enemy, one of the demons that was fed from the body of Hyakkimaru and now knows that its rightful owner, comes by what corresponds to it ... we knew that the history of the convent with children was too fixed, but something in it is related to the last scene, there are some creatures that feed on humans and belong to that demon woman. No doubt, the greatest ambition, those greedy demons take it.
Could it be that those children were food for those caterpillars? Is that giant baby the soul of that child? The spirit of that woman, who cared for the little ones? Will Sabame be under some hypnosis? Dororo will have the same ending to the manga and the series of the 60s? Can sleep with so many questions? What breakfast tomorrow? This and more, in the next chapter ... I suppose
