The official site for the anime adaptation of Natsuki Takaya's manga, Fruits Basket revealed to the artists that they will be interpreting the songs for the second season:
The AmPm unit and vocalist Miyuna will perform the opening track titled "Prism".
The singer-songwriter and former guitarist for the band Hemenway, THE CHARM PARK will perform the closing song titled “ad meliora”.
This second season will premiere in Japan on April 6 through TV Tokyo and TV Aichi. However, Funimation will release the first three episodes in advance in theaters in the United States on March 30.
The anime's first season premiered in Japan in April 2019 and featured 25 episodes. This new adaptation of the Fruits Basket manga features an entirely new cast and crew, as requested by Takaya. Also, unlike the 2001 adaptation, this time all manga events will be covered.
Staff
Yoshihide Ibata (Pikaia !!, FLCL Progressive) is directing the anime at TMS Entertainment studios.
Taku Kishimoto (Gin no Saji, Haikyu !!, 91Days, Hanebado!) Is in charge of series composition.
Masaru Shindou (Macross Δ, Oregairu) is in charge of character design.
Natsuki Takaya serves as executive supervisor.
Synopsis
After a family tragedy turned her life around, high school student Tohru Honda decides to confront the matter with her own hands and moves… to a tent!
Unfortunately for her, he establishes his new home on the land belonging to the mysterious Sohma clan, and it doesn't take long for the owners to discover his secret.
However, at the same time that Tohru discovers that the family will offer to take her into their enclosures, he also realizes that the Sohma have their own secret: it is that when they are touched by the opposite sex they become the animals of the zodiac Chinese!
