The official YouTube channel of the Fuit TV channel Noitamina programming block published a new promotional video for the movie Psycho-Pass 3: First Inspector. The video shows a fragment of the main theme song performed by Who-Ya Extended and titled “Synthetic Sympathy”.

The feature film will be released in theaters in Japan on March 27, and will be a two-week limited screening. This film will end the story presented in the third season of the project.

The third season premiered on October 24 and featured eight one-hour episodes each. Naoyoshi Shiotani returned from previous projects to direct the anime at Production IG studios, and author Akira Amano returned as the character designer.

Synopsis
Justice and its enforcement have changed. In the 22nd century, Japan applied the Sibyl System, a means of determining the level of threat of each citizen by examining their mental state, known as their Psycho-Pass. Inspectors uphold the law by subjugating, often with lethal force, anyone harboring the slightest ill will; Joining them are Enforcers, the inspectors who have become latent criminals, given relative freedom in exchange for doing the dirty work.

Akane Tsunemori, a young woman with a sincere desire to defend justice, enters this world. However, working alongside veteran Enforcer Shinya Kougami, he soon realizes that the Sibyl System judgments are not as perfect as everyone assumes. With all she knows, Akane struggles with the question of what justice really is, and whether it can be maintained by using a system that may already be corrupt.
